Reaper

Reaper is a great choice. I downloaded their trial version and played around to see what I could do. It has just about all the features of any other high end DAW for as low as $60 it's a pretty amazing deal. One thing I really like about Reaper is that it works on both PC and Mac so if you prefer Mac and someone else in you band is a PC user you can still share files.

This is a great program. At some point I’ll probably give it a second look and have more to say, who knows, I may even make the switch from Sonar. It really is that good.
